Mars Chocolate, commonly known as a Mars bar, is a chocolate bar produced by Mars Inc. It typically consists of caramel and nougat coated with milk chocolate. The original Mars bar was first manufactured in England in 1932. In the United States, an alternative version previously existed with nougat and toasted almonds, sometimes also with caramel.
