A traditional Latin American unrefined whole cane sugar. Unlike processed sugars, Panela is made by boiling and evaporating fresh sugarcane juice until it solidifies. It has a rich, molasses-like taste with deep caramel and fruity undertones. It is available in solid blocks or granulated forms.
